Configuration

NuiCent 31YZ — Pick Your Speed & Gyro Size is a standalone digital development package by Will Cole. Choose one configuration for £19.99. No previous NuiCent purchase is required.

120 mm Mini carrier family

The current Mini source uses 120 mm 31YZ carrier plates. Six speed labels are supplied as development targets:

Option Gyro / carrier target 31YZ shaft target T41 upper input T36 study input
L4 1,000 rpm 4,000 rpm 390 rpm 444 rpm
L8 1,000 rpm 8,000 rpm 390 rpm 444 rpm
M4 2,000 rpm 4,000 rpm 780 rpm 889 rpm
M8 2,000 rpm 8,000 rpm 780 rpm 889 rpm
H4 3,000 rpm 4,000 rpm 1,171 rpm 1,333 rpm
H8 3,000 rpm 8,000 rpm 1,171 rpm 1,333 rpm

125 mm 4×31YZ gyro family

The separate 125 mm development module uses a calculated local ratio of approximately 2.6163:1 in its documented T36/T45-to-31YZ study. Useful reference points are:

125 mm option Local input reference 31YZ shaft target
125-35 about 1,338 rpm about 3,500 rpm
125-40 about 1,530 rpm about 4,000 rpm

The 125 mm carrier's own orbital RPM is a separate quantity and is not assumed to equal the 31YZ shaft speed.

What the selected package is for

  • Matching CAD/reference material for the selected development configuration.
  • 31YZ speed and pulley calculations.
  • Relevant STEP/STL or source-CAD files where supplied for that size family.
  • Belt-route, pulley-fit and build-reference material.

Development status: these are calculated prototype targets and reference configurations, not certified motor ratings or guaranteed measured operating speeds. Physical builds should verify carrier RPM and 31YZ shaft RPM with a tachometer under the intended load.

Digital files only. Motors, bearings, belts, fasteners and electronics are not included.
